I had a great stay at this hotel. the room was spacious and clean, with basic but sufficient furniture. Secondly, the hotel is located in a calm and peaceful area, perfect for a good night's sleep. Additionally, the staff were helpful and assisted me when needed. Lastly, the hotel offered breakfast with a limited choice, but it was enough to start the day.
All was fine, no complaints.

The hotel is in a good location and provides easy access to businesses in Almaty. Almaty hotels are generally quite expensive for what you get in return, but the Tien Shan was a relatively good value. Hotel staff was courteous and the lady at the front desk spoke English and went out of her way to assist us. The room was quite large and clean. We asked for extra robe and it was delivered immediately. We did not use the Russian style sauna, but it looked very clean, and the facilities were well arranged. We would stay there again.
Amenity shelf at sink in the bathroom could be larger. Almost no place to put shaving kit, makeup kit, etc.

A good central location, all needed infrastucture is around. Fairly decent breakfast.
the abscence of a lift, but it is not a big deal for a 4 storey building. the bell-boy is helping with the luggage.

I completely disliked this hotel and will always regret my one night there.
I did not like the building, it's a hospital type of building with five floors that was made as a hotel; it has no atmosphere; it is totally no value for money; the rooms are depressing; the staff is not trained to work in the hotel (only the concierge had a professional attitude). All in all, I would not recommend it ever.

A really good middle class hotel, very well situated. Best hotel breakfast for a long time. All freshly and even with fantasy prepared.
Tv channels in other languages than Kazakh or Russian are missing.

The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance of good restaurants, the airport, and two universities. the room is spacious and the bathroom is clean. the breakfast is quite good. Bali Spa with pools, saunas, massage and fitness room is a bonus for relaxation.
The staff is not very helpful and can be sloppy, which can lead to some minor issues such as billing errors.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, making it easy to access various restaurants and shops. the rooms are clean and well maintained. the breakfast provided in the morning was a great start to the day. the free access to the hotel's spa was a wonderful bonus - a great way to relax and rejuvenate after a long day of exploring.
The staff's limited English language skills made communication difficult. we were disappointed that there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, and the view wasn't impressive.
